Chinese Ceramic Beads for RCS Application

Ceramic beads, also named as cerabeads, ceramic sand, ceramcast, is a good artificial spherical grain shape which is made from calcined bauxite. Its main content is aluminum oxide and Silicon oxide. Applicate in RCS process, it has the properties of high temperature resistance, low expansion, easy collapse, and low gas output, which can effectively prevent expansion defects in castings. For cores with particularly complex shapes, can deal with the problem that sand shooting is not easy to compact. Meanwhile, due to it’s spherical property, it reduce the resin addition with good castings and lower cost.
